I leave the bodkin in while I apply the glue. Twist it out before the glue dries and make sure the hole is not covered.

Versatilityness is a real thing

I am mostly still water guy. Simi-Seal is in so many of the patterns I like to tie. It never crossed my mind it was going "out of style". I use it a ton in balanced leech patterns and also in stuff like small caddis pupa patterns for rivers. The colors @spawnflyfish have introduced in recent years are amazing!

Simiseal is great stuff. It was one of fhe first materials I was taught to dub with.

Been doing that for years I've come up with some wild color combos that have been productive on Small mouth, trout and Salmon.

I think that sucker will be a crappie killer!

I like using the brownish olive and yellow combo on my headbangers, both hackle and maribou. Very productive color on my PA limestone rivers.
